Jewelry Storage Tips
We all know the disappointment when our favorite piece of jewelry becomes hopelessly tangled, well do not fear! Here at Mabel Chong we’ve assembled a variety of jewelry storage tips to help everything stay organized.
1) Store jewelry on necklace and earring racks - there’s a huge variety of styles out there so you’re sure to find some that match your home décor.
2) Keep jewelry in original gift boxes - this is especially useful for long and multi-strand necklaces as they can be draped securely around the center foam.
3) Place individual necklaces in thick ziplock bags with the “tail” end hanging out. Designer tip: this is how we ship all of our wholesale orders!
4) Keep earrings on earring cards with backs to keep the pair together. There is nothing lonelier than an earring without its mate!

Feel free to add additional tips to the comments below - what is your favorite way to store or showcase jewelry?

Celebrate SFMade Week!

San Francisco is a city where movements are born and today is no exception!  At a time when we hear so much about the importance of local manufacturing in a thriving economy, we want to share some exciting happenings taking place in the city right now. Did you know there is a growing manufacturing movement here in San Francisco?  At the helm is SFMADE, a local non-profit who’s mission is to build and support a vibrant manufacturing sector in San Francisco.  SFMade helps sustain member companies producing locally-made products, encourages entrepreneurship and innovation, and creates employment opportunities for a diverse local workforce.  This week is SFMADE Week, a weeklong celebration featuring factory tours, RAMP IT UP - a speakeasy themed party with locally made artisan food and beverages on Wednesday night, and SFMade Day on Saturday, May 12, in which participating members (that’s us!) donate 10% of sales to SFMade.  Follow the link to join the fun and support the maker movement!
